Towbar Failure.

A lucky escape!

After a lovely few days at Spital Farm, Kendal, on our way home on the M6 there was a bang and that awful noise of the jockey wheel rumbling along the road.

Our tow bar had failed completely on one side

Full marks to the AA, they arranged a local company to rescue us from the hard shoulder to Forton Services within 40 minutes and not long after arriving, the AA removed the remains of the tow bar and towed the van back to our storage in Lymm. Luckily no damage done to us or the ‘van and at least it wasn’t raining

Big shout out to Northwest Towbar centre (https://northwesttowbars.co.uk/) for replacing this within 24 hours, allowing us to Steward our next meet on Thursday.

The tow bar was made by Bosal (https://www.bosal.com/en/towbars) and was 8 years old, Allan has contacted Bosal via their website but has had no response as yet.
